Poker players are interesting. When they are going all-in with their pocket aces against pocket kings and winning, then they are skillful poker playing genuises. But when it's the other way around, then it's either bad luck or going on tilt. And I fully realize poker is about more than just that, but in a nutshell that is what addiction to poker is all about.
The cards have a way of evening out as the cards always do. But the big problem with trying to make money at online poker is the rake doesn't even out...it accumulates, and eventually crushes a bankroll - just a question of when. The more a poker player plays, the sooner their bankroll gets crushed by the rake.
Today and hopefully everyday, I know where my money is staying - in the bank. My money certainly looks a lot better to me in my bank account than in the bank account of a gambling website.
